Setup

  1. 1Lie on the floor inside a rack with the bar set at a height you can unrack easily, or ask a spotter to hand it to you.
  2. 2Bend your knees and put your feet flat on the floor.
  3. 3Take a grip a little wider than your shoulders and move the bar over your chest.

How to perform

  1. 1Slowly bring the bar down until the backs of your upper arms rest on the floor.
  2. 2Hold that position for a second so you don't use any bounce.
  3. 3Drive the bar upward until your elbows are fully extended.
  4. 4Keep your forearms upright and your wrists firm.
